The pre-Moon-Lord Lunar Events can prove a significant challenge themselves due to the consistent spawning of enemies around the Celestial Pillars. It’s highly recommended that you make adequate preparation before destroying the final Celestial Pillar, as the one minute between destroying it and the Moon Lord spawning isn’t sufficient for preparation time. This message appearing indicates that there is exactly one minute until the Moon Lord spawns. Destroying the fourth pillar will create a message in chat: “Impending doom approaches…”. You must destroy these four pillars in order to summon the Moon Lord.
